    Description of Understanding Fibonacci Numbers

This short primer booklet describes the Fibonacci number series: the history, mathematical properties, and contains a short article on how they may be used in market analysis and trading.

This primer booklet on Fibonacci numbers is intended to:

    1. Give the reader an initial acquaintance with the concepts of Fibonacci number sequence

    2. To provide some historical background

    3. To give an idea of how Fibonacci concepts and ratios are used by stock and commodity traders and analysts

    4. To provide a comprehensive bibliography and list of informational sources

It is not intended to give complete and comprehensive coverage to this fascinating subject. This would be impossible in such a limited space. The primary emphasis is not on the profound influence Fibonacci has had in art, architecture, geometry, mathematics, and other areas, but on how the trader of stocks and commodities can put this information to practical use.
